With the aim to solve relevant issues within the retail industry, Venturespring - in association with IBM, Argos, Iceland and Unilever, has organised the 'The Future of Retail Challenge' 2016.
The challenge saw more than 600 start-ups in their early and growth stages contending in order to develop innovative new tech solutions that solve problems within the retail industry.
Among all the companies that applied, 26 'Inspirational Finalists' were shortlisted from which only the top 5 most innovative companies were then invited to present in front of distinguished names such as Unilever, Argos, IBM and Iceland in a final pitch stage. The judges panel was composed by experts in technology, venture capital and the retail industry, including Colleen Hayes – Global Director of Entrepreneurial Development at IBM, and Olivier Garel – CEO of Unilever Ventures, to name but a few.
Parcelly came runner-up in the competition and was recognised as the second most innovative start-up in the retail sector which is testimony to our firm position as innovator and thought leader in the retail industry. Our unique mobile technology continues to impress the most experienced business leaders across the retail industry, disrupting and changing the face of retail, e-commerce and first and last mile logistics for good.
We are very pleased with the result achieved and look forward to the next challenge!
