Parcelly had been selected, together with 14 of London’s fastest growing Retail Tech companies, to join the Mayor’s International Business Programme for a One Day Trade Mission to Lille. The mission aims to 'assist high-growth digital companies seeking to identify partnerships and to explore business opportunities' and 'includes meetings and networking events with key local corporates, leaders and organisations to expand their business activities in this area'.

The Mayor’s International Business Programme helps ambitious high-growth (scale-up) companies from London’s technology, life sciences and urban sectors to expand their businesses internationally. Supported by four lead partners: KPMG, BDO, Benoy and PA Consulting and partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund, this new exclusive programme provides bespoke mentoring schemes, delivered by leading entrepreneurs and business leaders; expert advice and workshops; targeted trade missions; and access to live leads and opportunities.

Establishing a new city-to-city partnership as part of the Business Welcome Programme, Lille is just one stop in a string of events, focussed on establishing a global network of cities to help entrepreneurs develop their businesses across different markets. Initially brought to live in a partnership between Paris and London, other major cities including Berlin, Amsterdam, San Diego, and Lisbon have signed up to the initiative.

The day in Lille was packed with presentations, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities with large internationals such as Decathlon, LaRedoute, Pimkie, BDC, Maxitoys and many more.

"Cross-border collaboration is key in a globalised world, where technological advancement accelerates and complexity and consumer expectations increase at an unseen pace. We are truly excited to be part of the MIBP and to assist in making London one of the most connected places for collaborators from all around the world. Even more importantly, and in line with Parcelly’s internationalisation in 2018, the MIBP truly facilitates our cross border strategy and the introduction to potential business opportunities abroad."
