We’ve seen a massive increase recently in road traffic in London stemming from internet deliveries.

As part of a busy week brimming with conferences, Parcelly was delighted to be able to attend the Air Quality Summit in Regents Street Cinema on June 28th.

The main focal point of the summit featured a discerning panel session, whereby Val Shawcross CBE, Deputy Mayor for Transport and Deputy Chair of Transport for London, Steven Medway, Managing Director Trading Environment at New West End, amongst other high profile speakers, discussed how they planned to tackle London’s Air Quality issues.

The short video below, created by the New West End company summarises this very effectively.

The Air Quality Strategy proposes efforts to significantly reduce the air pollution in London and ultimately make the New West End the world’s top shopping destination.

Parcelly is considered to be one of the few businesses in London actively supporting this goal, by reducing the number of driver destinations as well as parcels that require multiple delivery attempts.

On top of this, we donate up to 5% of the price of each Parcelly Booking to our long term partner Atmosfair, who offsets carbon emissions by investing contributions it receives directly into renewable energy projects throughout the developing world.
