Counting decades under his belt in the logistics industry, Ken is considered one of the most influential managers in the sector. He started his career back in 1985 when DHL was still known by the name of their founders, Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn. Working through positions of Regional manager, Regional CFO, and Regional CEO, all the way up to the Global CEO of DHL Express in 2009 through to 2019. His expertise spans across various global regions, including the USA, Canada, MENA and Europe. In 2010, Ken was appointed to the Global board of Deutsche Post DHL, after steering DHL Express from a 2bn loss in 2008 to a profit of 2bn in 2018. Ken took leadership at DHL to the next level: embedding company culture and sales performance into all his teams, with a unique approach to motivation.
Following his transformative time at DHL, he is now also the acclaimed author of ‘Radical Simplicity’ a book “full of advice on everything from defining your core business values to winning the hearts and minds of your people, this book reveals the strategies and skills you need to achieve happiness and prosperity”.

Ken now tries to enjoy retirement after stepping down from the board after almost 40 years in the DHL organisation. Ken remains a family man with 4 children and his wife, he continues to live an active lifestyle, working out almost every day of the week and engaging in meditation.
Ken’s unique approach to business, his deep experience and knowledge of the market, his leading understanding of people management and the definition of success have long been an inspiration for everyone at Parcelly. “When I met with Ken first time in 2018, Parcelly had just started its partnership with DHL Express in the UK and had recently been awarded DHL’s prestigious “Last-mile Innovation of the Year” award.
