MEET MR. BASHIR, THE OWNER OF B&S NEWSAGENTS, OUR FIRST PARCELLY LOCATION OF THE MONTH IN 2019!
As you know, we take great pride in working with our nationwide business partners, so each month we like to highlight the fantastic work our Parcelly locations do for their customers as well as their local community. After just 7 months of running both our Click&Collect and Key Exchange services, Mr. Bashir's store already excelled in terms of customer expectation and satisfaction levels, for we received THE most lovely customer message below, praising their level of customer service and highlighting what great ambassadors they are for Parcelly... (and we could not agree more!):
I just wanted to share how AMAZING my local collection point [B&S newsagents] are. I’ve had three deliveries there so far and for the first one they kept a huge amount of packaging for me, the second one they saved as it didn’t have the code displayed, and the third one was HUGE and one of their team actually carried it back to my house for me, as I was unable to myself.
I cannot speak more highly of the lovely family that run this business!
Well, we think this is not just conquering, but absolutely knocking the customer service benchmark out of the park! Our colleague Hugo caught up with Mr. Bashir directly to find out more about his store and how he is planning to start the New Year...

What is your overall feedback on our Parcelly service?
It’s very easy, you have a great set-up in that I can control everything from my phone, and we’re happy that we’ve gone ahead and used your guys for the service. We also like that fact that you’re non-exclusive, so if we wanted to run multiple parcel collection services we would be able to. The freedom it gives us is a great added touch that not many others provide. Convenience and choice is key now, whether it's with partners or customers!
How easy is the Parcelly app to use?
Yeah it’s very easy to use as well, no bugs so far - touch wood haha! So your IT team must have done a really good job... (Yep, they most certainly have!)
Like I mentioned, the fact that I'm able to run multiple services with you - parcel collections and key exchanges - all through one app is really convenient. My phone is always right beside me so I don't need to go out back to find a specific piece of gear or scanner or so.
So would you have any feedback on how to improve the app at all?
Well, no not really, other than keep up the good work, as we’ve not run into any problems running your service or tech.
With NYE just around the corner, do you have any plans for the night?
Working working working, just working! A lot of people we know take a break on New Year’s Eve and say “well you know, I’ll work more next year”, but we keep the work rate up all year round to gain that extra edge over everyone who doesn’t. We work on Christmas Day, we work on New Year’s Day, we work all the time... We want to help people and make the most of our time here on planet earth, you only get one shot at it!
How lovely! And we completely agree, as our business model has sustainability right at the heart, lessening the environmental impact of parcel deliveries.
Going into 2019 do you have any New Year’s resolutions?
Stop smoking! *Met with laughter from his partner*
“That’s what he’s been saying for the last 10 years!” Mr. Bashir exclaimed.
Well, this year's going to be different, I really think I’m going to be able to crack it!
