Mr. Patel, it is a real pleasure to be working with you, would you tell us a bit more about how you started this business?
I took over the ownership of this store 5 years ago. This is a great area and we have a very good business here. The shop itself is actually the oldest newsagent within the Rainham area!

Did you grow up in this area?
Not really, I just moved here when I started this shop. My kids go to the local primary school and come home to the store after school or play with friends upstairs – our home.

VIR NEWS is running a fantastic parcel collection service for Parcelly and receives nothing but 5-star reviews from customers - could you tell us what your secret is?
There’s no secret really. The most important thing is how user-friendly and straight-forward the app is. As you can see, this is a super busy shop with customers coming and going. So we need to process every parcel transaction in a very short time ideally. A complicated process would not only affect the customer experience, but also the shop's business and service efficiency. The Parcelly service though is extremely quick and simple to run, as every member of staff can operate the parcel check-in and check-out by typing the 6-digit Parcelly ID into the app, which is brilliant.

Did you hear about Parcelly before starting the service with us?
Yeah! I trialled the Parcelly service when I was working for another corner shop in London's city centre. And when your Business Development team approached me 2 years ago, I immediately agreed to join the network without hesitation.

Do you have any additional feedback for us on our Parcel collection service?
Honestly, we are super happy with it. Parcel services from some other companies are really hard to run, so when me and my family are on holiday, we would actually call those companies and ask them to stop the service until we get back. But no such issue with Parcelly. What I also really like is that parcels from Parcelly usually get picked up after one day only, as we have got parcels from other providers in the store which are left here for more than 2 weeks which is too long...

How do you judge the performance of our business development team?
I would give 10 marks out of 10! Each time we have a question about the service, we call Parcelly's customer service helpline and someone will be responding right away. On cue Mr Patel's wife comes in and adds: 'Yeah, we call Guzel from Parcelly for help. There is a team member in-charge of our shop and we fully trust that account manager'. (Beautiful we think anf high five to our Customer Service Team!!)

How do you see the future of the industry and parcel collection sector specifically evolve?
The parcel volume will probably double up the next 5 years. We are actually experiencing a higher and higher volume of parcel collections right now. Especially, the food and beverage sector has been undergoing an exponential increase in our shop, and I believe will contribute heavily to the growth of parcel collections in the future.
