Parcelly is all about teamwork. Our team members are essential pillars within our company, and we’re proud to shine a spotlight on their contributions that drive our growth and innovation.

In our second Team Spotlight of 2025, we caught up with Hannah to learn more about her Parcelly journey. Having started out as Marketing Associate on a year-long placement to then re-joining the team as Marketing Manager, Hannah reflects on her proudest achievements, skills gained and advice to those starting out in marketing.

After completing your placement year at Parcelly, what made you decide to return and take on the role of Marketing Manager?

“I completed my placement year at Parcelly as Marketing Associate in July 2022. I then returned to the University of Surrey to complete my BSc Sociology degree and carried out a dissertation research project on consumer behaviours related to fast fashion and sustainability, which looking back, was influenced by my year in industry!

I decided to rejoin the team because I had learnt so much in that one year and knew there was more to discover. The Marketing Associate role gave me broad exposure to all areas of marketing across social media, events and PR. Returning as Marketing Manager allowed me to build on those experiences and take on a more strategic role with greater ownership and responsibility.

It’s been rewarding to return to a more senior position and reconnect with the team. Career progression aside, the Parcelly team was another factor that influenced my decision!”

What have been your three proudest campaigns or achievements since rejoining the team?

“One of my proudest achievements has been leading our event marketing strategy. I’ve really enjoyed the end-to-end marketing efforts, from building pre-event campaigns to producing branded materials and managing live coverage. Seeing our visibility grow and engagement increase at events such as Leaders in Logistics, The Forecourt Show and multiple trade shows with The Fed are key takeaways. DELIVER in Amsterdam remains a standout moment from my earlier time at Parcelly, but that’s covered in my last Team Spotlight

Another project I’m proud of leading is the campaign for Parcelly’s 10-year anniversary. I was proud to bring that to life through a dedicated video and social campaign to celebrate such a milestone. It was a great opportunity to reflect on the company’s journey, Sebastian’s motivations as founder and everything we’ve achieved so far. Owning the creative direction of that project and seeing the positive response from our team and clients made it particularly meaningful.

Lastly, I’d say, elevating our social media presence, particularly on LinkedIn. Since rejoining the team, I’ve had the creative freedom to shape our content strategy and tone of voice. With the LinkedIn page growing 150% since I first started, we’re now seeing some of our highest engagement rates to date. It’s been exciting to own our brand across such platforms.”

What skills do you feel are needed to be a successful Marketing Manager at Parcelly?

“I still stand by time management, creativity, and attention to detail, from my last Team Spotlight, as core skills for marketing at Parcelly. However, in the Marketing Manager role, this position has really developed my project management skills. It’s essential for understanding how individual tasks fit into wider campaigns and keeping timelines on track when working on multiple projects.

Cross-functional communication is also key, as I’ll often find myself working closely with the Network and Key Account Management teams to ensure that our marketing initiatives align with business growth and opportunities. A collaboration I’ve enjoyed has been our partnership with The Fed through events, advertising and email campaigns, to overall drive our network growth and brand awareness.”

What advice would you give to someone starting out in marketing?

“My advice to someone starting out in marketing would be to embrace every learning opportunity. Marketing is such a varied field, so gaining exposure to different areas helps you to discover what you enjoy most, while also uncovering strengths you might not have expected!”

THANK YOU, Hannah for contributing towards Parcelly’s vision and growth!
